Travel Purpose: business

Positive: Location is where we wanted to be. It's close to Namba and Namba station. Many restaurants close by. Compared to other places, there is sufficient space in the appartment. Beds are comfortable and there are plenty of them (maybe too many, removing 1 or 2 would create more space). Bathroom also good. Large TV (nicely placed in the living room but can't watch it from your bed). Bring your own Chromecast. Washing machine. (no instructions in English though, use your translate app).

Negative: Kitchen needs to improve. No toaster, no coffee machine. Only 1 cooking pan, no pots. Only 1 induction hob. All electric equipment is attached to 1 distribution plug. which I doubt passes safety regulations. Apartment is marked for up to 10 people but there are only plates, glasses, ... for 4 people roughly. Considering the price, much better should be possible with limited efforts. Add 4 real plugs in the kitchen, add a toaster and coffee machine (e.g Nespresso), have an induction hob for at least 2 pots and have these pots available so you can do some real cooking. We needed to call booking.com customer service to get in. You need a PDF explaining how to get in + key code, but that did not arrive (not clear whether this is the fault of the host, booking.com, or it got removed as spam somewhere in the chain). Booking.com service was helpful. Calling the host was not: they refused our calls (and the one from booking too) and only replied in Japanese and with heavy delays on our questions. Unacceptable. Also to leave there was 0 communication. I assume they don't speak anything else than Japanese (or Chinese?). If you accept 1700 euro you should show up and pick up your phone. The worst experience is largely out of control of the host. Every evening (roughly 11PM-midnight, sometimes longer), joy riders make ridiculous noise in the larger street at the back of the apartment block. The apartment only has single glass windows so you really hear it and it makes sleeping impossible if you don't use earplugs.

Summary: Could be improved to a very nice place but is not up to the mark today.
