In the countryside on the southeast side of Gotland in När is Gangvide Farm with six cottages. The cottage is environmentally friendly and powered by solar panels and is also a perfect place for holiday with children and dog or cat!
The cottage is 40 m² and can accommodate six people with beds divided into two bedrooms with a double bed in one of the bedrooms and a bunk bed in the other one. In addition, there is a sofa bed for two in the living room. The kitchen is fully equipped where you can enjoy your holiday meals on the terrace. Barbecue is also available.
In 2020, accommodation gained the certification Green Key, which means that the cottage is, among other things, self-sufficient in terms of electricity with the help of solar panels and compost management.
Things to see and do on Gotland
Near the cottage there are plenty of excursions for the whole family. On the farm you can feed smaller animals such as chickens, ducks, geese and rabbits. For the younger ones, pony riding is also arranged. The river that runs along the cottage offers nice fishing and here you can also paddle a canoe. When you are on Sweden's largest island Gotland, a visit to Visby is a must! Stroll around and learn about Swedish history and eat tasty food. Tips on other attractions on southern Gotland to discover are the lighthouse Närsholmen, the sandy beach Herta (Hörte), Stavgard Vikingagård and Holmhällars raukområde.
