This casual, comfortable community is essentially self-contained, including marina, grocery, restaurants and club facilities--easily accessible by foot, bicycle or golf cart. Public transport, taxi or car rental will take you to all other parts of this very interesting island. Antigua is rich in history and sailing, with everything from lush rain forest to rough ridges pounded by the mighty Atlantic to soft Caribbean sands and blue, blue water. Our villa exemplifies the lifestyle--simple yet ample. Clean, light rattan & glass furniture, well furnished kitchen, plenty of fresh new linens, 2 tv's, wi-fi ,washer & dryer, electric grill. Cool breeze and A.C. too!
There's as much to do, or as little, as you'd like. Rest, read, relax. Romp, run around, rejuvenate, rekindle, romance. Antigua boasts 365 beaches, each one very unique and worthy of a visit. The central town of St. Johns has high end shoppes as well as fresh air market and local merchants. Spectacular view and steel bands overlook historic English Harbor. Lesser known Fort James has intimate restaurant and lovely ambiance. Jeep tours into the forest, helicopter over Mont Serrat volcano, zip line through the forest, charter fishing, 'booze' cruises, snorkel, scuba, swim with stingrays, fast boats, fancy sailing yachts, healthy/herbal spas, horse riding on the beach, or a day trip to pristine Barbuda....Bet you can't do it all!!
**In reviews you will see prior problems with community water/pressure, touch up paint, and closed pool. Since then, Jolly Harbour has installed a new water desal. plant, and rebuilt the pool. We've patched and painted the damaged drywall. Though not perfect, it's much, much better now. You may also see that in the past we allowed guests use of our golf cart. Unfortunately we no longer do. We can certainly help with arranging a cart or a car for you, through local providers that can better serve you. As all of our beach chairs are fairly light weight, the manufacturers have placed a 200 lb. weight limit on them. Much of the rattan/wicker furniture and chairs in the villa are not suitable for larger people as well. Lastly "but not leastly", our villa has open railings on the water front patio and balcony, open staircase inside, and glass table tops throughout... It is not safe for small children.
