Positive: We couldn’t have dreamt of a better place to kick off our honeymoon! We felt extremely safe and comfortable at Baobab Bungalows, and found it was a true haven of peace. Barbara, our manager, was always eager to make sure we had the best time possible without any worry - hakuna matata ! It is very easy to book activities: they take charge of everything (driver, guide, etc.), at very fair prices. The drivers are always right on time, which helps to have no stress. Baobab is also super close to Jambiani beach, one of the best spots for kite surfers: it’s only a 5 min walk to get there, which makes the location ideal. We saw some people complaining in their reviews about power cuts; but they never lasted more than a few minutes, and they happen everywhere on the island (including in fancy restaurants). The fact that there is no restaurant on site was also no problem, as they are multiple restaurants very close by (3 to 5 min walk). We actually thought it made for a more quiet and peaceful atmosphere. Basically, we had a great time: we wholeheartedly recommend Baobab Bungalows to anyone visiting Zanzibar and looking for a unique experience of serenity, comfort and warmly welcoming vibes. A true home away from home !
