Blue Surf Sanctuary is a small boutique property in a tropical setting just steps to the beach in the popular surf town of Santa Teresa. Our four bungalows are perfect for couples, families and/or groups of friends who are looking to escape to a little piece of paradise and enjoy the simple life. We are happy to rent ONE bungalow or all four for your own customized getaway.

Tranquilo, our Costa Rica Family Vacations Bungalow is perfect for a family traveling to Santa Teresa, Costa Rica together. It sleeps up to 4 persons comfortably with 1 Queen bed, 1 Full-sized bed with a twin bunk. So, for families who are needing to all be in one bungalow this is perfect.
Keep in mind, we can rent more than one bungalow if Mom and Dad want their own space and the children are old enough to be alone, of course. We have an assortment of options.
The bungalow is not just for families. It is perfect for friends, as well.
You will be perfectly situated to wake up before dawn, grab a cup of coffee from the kitchen and escape to the beach at sunrise. The bathroom is situated a bit differently due to it being handicapped accessible. The toilet and unobscured shower (for wheelchair access if needed) are separate from the decorative stone sink which is within the sleeping area.

Each of the four bungalows has a spacious, private bathroom with a large, walk-in shower. Air conditioning keeps the rooms cool and every bungalow features a balcony that offer tree top views, ocean breezes and the exotic sounds of the jungle.You will have peace of mind knowing your personal belongings are completely protected with a state of the art digital room safe that are large enough to fit cameras, laptops and other personal items. We also have a night guard on duty to ensure your safety and security is taken care of.

In our inviting, cozy outdoor kitchen and communal area, you are welcome to utilize our fully equipped kitchen. If you rent just one beautiful bungalow you can chill and meet an eclectic mix of interesting guests. You might find yourself playing backgammon, cards or a relaxing game of chess. We have free internet on property.

Located at the north end of Santa Teresa at the entrance to one of the only three beach access roads, right at Suck Rock, a famous surf break in Costa Rica. We are an easy walk to the beach to catch a wave with our surf instructor Toro, one of the many things to do during your stay. With a fully equipped surfboard inventory we offer lessons for people just starting out on their surf journey to the most experienced that are looking to find that sweet spot early in the morning. We have a locked surfboard storage room with pro racks to protect your board.

We are near the most distinctive small hotels and yet far enough to feel the seclusion offered at the pristine beach but close enough to run into town for a night out or to check out the hip shopping areas. There are many great lunch and dinner spots close by, head down to dinner at Rocomar at the end of our road to watch the famous sunsets or grab breakfast or lunch next door at Cafe Social.

If you prefer to keep all activities on land, our guest experience manager will be happy to arrange private yoga, massages, quad and bike rental, canopy tours, horseback riding, sport fishing, a trip to Cabo Blanco Nature reserve or the Montezuma waterfalls and more.
