The space
It is a unique stone cottage in an ideal location offering peaceful, magnificent views on both sides of the Akrotiri area overlooking the legendary Stavros mountain and the beaches of the north-west side!
In this house, you will spend a relaxing and unforgettable vacation for you and your children. The house is built on a plot of 1500 sq.m. on the edge of an olive grove and fruit trees. It consists of a large living room, kitchen and attic, bathroom, large bedroom and hallway. It can accommodate 4 adults in two bedrooms and 2-3 children in extra beds in the living room if needed ...
• The living room
A beautifully designed large and spacious living room with plenty of natural light as it is surrounded by windows on all sides of the room, stone sofas, fully functional fireplace, wooden and stone floors with its own dining table just below the wooden loft. It has a very high wooden ceiling ideal for relaxing senses, tranquility and absolute quality. Extra beds can be placed here on request if your group consists of more than four people. Air conditioning installed!
• The bedrooms
The main bedroom with the queen size bed is next to the 25 sq.m. terrace and the large window doors offer direct access to the view at the front of the house. It is beautifully decorated with handmade embroidery and we offer fresh and clean linen for your stay. The master bedroom is air-conditioned
The second bedroom is located in the wooden attic of the house in the living room. It is a queen size bed for two people. From this position, you have a wonderful view of the large and spacious living room, abundant natural light from the surrounding windows and a peaceful restful sleep. A window offers a unique view day and night of the beaches of Akrotiri and the rough - dry but at the same time green - unique Cretan landscape. You will be able to observe from the comfort of your bed, sheep and goats playing in the trees and the night starry sky while reading a book in this cozy, playful nook.
• The kitchen
Just off the large living room is an amazing kitchen with brand new, clean appliances, perfect wood surfaces, stone floors and all the equipment you will need to prepare any meal you like. The view from the large window to the mountain of the Cross and the endless olive groves and fields will keep you relaxed and calm while you prepare your own delicacies! There is a terrace to enjoy your breakfast and morning coffee with a wonderful view on the back side of the house
• The terraces
The house is surrounded by large yards, gardens and Mediterranean trees. There are two terraces. 25 sq.m. at the front of the house and a smaller one next to the kitchen, each offering a different experience depending on the time of day.
The back porch located right next to the kitchen offers a unique panoramic view of the legendary mountain of Stavros where the movie "Zorbas the Greek" was filmed based on the book by the great Nikos Kazantzakis. From there you can enjoy your breakfast or morning coffee or at night be enchanted by the quietness of the location, the silence of which is broken only by the summer sounds of the Cretan habitat.
The view of the rising full moon behind Mount Stavros will be etched in your mind forever.
The same level of excitement, but a completely unique and special experience, is "bound" for your mornings. The sun's rays paint the entire landscape in orange colors and the morning sounds of the birds will set you up for perfect day trips to the surrounding world famous beaches of the Akrotiri area, all of which are within minutes of our strategically placed beautiful holiday home!
The terrace is surrounded by flowers and plants and a beautiful garden. At the top, there is a wooden pergola where thick climbing plants will provide you with wonderful shades during the day and scents of Cretan plants during the night. It has a large marble table, beautiful views and is the ideal place to relax, spending quality time after your tiring day trips to the surrounding beaches of Akrotiri
Around the house, there are all kinds of flowers and trees and unique Cretan herbs and plants guaranteed to enrich your senses with beautiful aromas day and night. There is also an outdoor seating area with a large wooden table and benches right next to the large BBQ
