Positive: I absolutely fell in love with this city. Budapest has such a distinct charm and personality — a beautiful blend of its imperial past, colonial influences, and echoes of its more difficult chapters, all layered with modern energy. It’s a place where history lives in every corner, yet the city feels vibrant and alive. We stayed at Gabi’s apartment, and it was perfect for us. The location is fantastic — just a 5-minute walk to the Opera Metro Station and only a few stops away from the main train stations, Keleti and Nyugati. And if you enjoy walking like we do, you’ll love the easy stroll to major sights like St. Stephen’s Basilica, the Ferris Wheel, and so much more. The apartment itself is adorable. My son especially loved the cozy loft bedroom — he enjoyed it so much that we didn’t mind staying indoors on rainy days. Gabi, our host, took wonderful care of us. She truly thought of everything: flip-flops for the thermal baths, shower caps, a shopping bag, and all the little touches that make travel feel easy and comfortable. We genuinely enjoyed our stay and highly recommend this place for couples and small families.
