Summary: Fantastic position, right on the harbour, with shops (bakery, fish market, small supermarket) and good restaurants all within easy walking distance. Parking was easy right outside, but we did use the garage. Further afield there was lots to see. Bayeux is close by, while we visited Arromanches-les-Bains and Pegasus Bridge, plus the German battery at Longues-sur-Mer. This was not a planned ‘D-day’ visit but it really gripped (and moved) me.
