Fforest Barn | House in Tregaron

A beautifully restored stone barn that’s perfect for two, at the foot of the Cambrian Mountains.

Set high on a hill with stunning views of the Teifi valley, Fforest Barn is a place to feel completely away from it all.

Accessed up a rough farm track this is not a destination for your sports car, but pack your walking boots and binoculars as there are footpaths from the doorstep and wildlife to view from your window. The only passing traffic are sheep and cows or the farmer tending them.
The space
Originally a working cow shed, the barn is now warm and welcoming with everything you need. Private access via French doors into the open plan kitchen / living / dining space with wood burner, vaulted ceiling & views over the meadow to the valley beyond. There’s one spacious king sized en-suite bedroom overlooking the courtyard and fields beyond, with a large rainfall shower.

The barn is surrounded by sheep fields and ancient oaks. We are in a designated dark sky area where the only shining lights at night are the stars.

Sleep deeply under soft white linen or listen to the Tawny owls just outside the window.

Outside you will find a private enclosed garden space with outdoor dining area and a double cocoon swing seat overlooking the hills.

On arrival there will be a welcome hamper with some treats for the weary traveler along with eggs from our own Fforest chickens, delicious bread from our local bakery and milk fresh from the dairy.

Parking is available in the courtyard outside the barn.
There are footpaths from the doorstep, perfect for exploring the surrounding farmland or heading up into the Cambrian mountains.
The historic market town of Tregaron is a 5 minute drive or 20 minute walk away with shops, pubs, cafes and amazing bakery.
Other things to note
Access to the property is up a rough farm track, not suitable for sports cars. There are dogs, cats, sheep and chickens on the property.
