Whether youโre searching for a romantic get-away, an escape from lifeโs rat race or an air-
conditioned respite from the summer heat, High Cotton cabin in Ruidoso, NM is the perfect
choice! This mountain gem nestled in the woods of Cedar Creek canyon is ideally located far
enough from town to feel secluded; yet close enough to enjoy all the amenities town has to
offer. With an ideal combination of comfort and lovely Mountain Chic dรฉcor, there is plenty
of room to kick off your boots and revel in the peaceful serenity of the tall cool pines.
The great room is furnished with relaxation in mind! There are two inviting sofas (one has
built in recliners, the other is a queen sleeper), and 2 additional recliners. Curl up with a
book in front of a crackling fire in the wood-burning fireplace or enjoy cable or internet
programming on the large flat screen HD TV. WIFI is provided.
High Cotton features 3 bedrooms and two baths and sleeps 8. On the main floor is a
โqueenโ bedroom with an adjoining bath. The second floor has 2 roomy bedrooms with
king beds and a shared bath. Enjoy morning coffee or a nightcap on the private balcony.
All bedrooms are equipped with flat-screen HD tvโs.
Also located on the second floor is a laundry room with washer, dryer, ironing board & iron.
Towels and linens are provided. In addition to HVAC the great room and each bedroom
room has a ceiling fan.
The chef of the group will appreciate the fully equipped kitchen. In addition to the requisite
coffee pot, toaster and assortment of pots, pans and utensils youโll find a blender, crockpot,
waffle maker along with many other โnecessitiesโ for your use and enjoyment. The
farmhouse table seats 8.
Our guests love spending time on the spacious deck! Gather around the outdoor table and
savor barbecue sizzling hot from the grill (propane is provided). Meals taste better when
served with a pine-scented breeze! Don't forget to unwind at the end of your day with a
relaxing soak in our hot tub!
Or maybe you prefer to lounge around on the deck and enjoy the peace and quiet that a
mountain retreat offers.
High Cotton sits on an oversized, wooded lot with plenty of room for the kids to play.
National forest borders all around, and you can spot all kinds of wildlife. Deer are plentiful,
along with elk, turkey, eagles, and of course, hummingbirds. Explore along the creek, enjoy
leisurely walks or more strenuous hikes. There is much to take in!
The access is good year round with a relatively level drive all the way to the front door;
however 4-wheel drive/AWD is highly recommended during the winter months.

Ruidoso is an alpine mountain community. Expect twisty roads with steep grades. The weather is
unpredictable and changes quickly. Elevation can vary between 6000โ to almost 12,000โ. Expect
wildlife to hinder traffic flow. Do not be surprised if the power goes out or when you lose internet or
cell phone connection. This is the mountains, and it happens. We encourage guests be prepared with
access to chains or 4-wheel drive in winter months for all our properties. This is not the big city. Life is
easier and slower paced and more wonderful. This is why we come and why we stay. Relax and
