Reviewer Type: Couple
Travel Purpose: leisure
Positive: Great location. Really delightful staff who were always on hand and so helpful, especially Marguerite on the front desk and the lovely young lady who runs the bar - both were outstanding.
Negative: The restaurant 😟. Extremely disappointing . Such a shame, really lets the place down. Breakfast is adequate but no more. The eggs are left for ages so rubbery unless you get in early! All the hot selection is at best tepid and made worse by the lack of hot plates - an actual ’hot’ breakfast is basically unavailable! I don’t think there is a real chef as such because there is no proper dinner menu with the only food available being a bar/pool menu which works ok at lunchtime but offers nothing different in the evening (except one rather uninspiring daily ‘special’). Consequently we ate out each night at one of the local restaurants- the nearest of which is very good.
Summary: The accommodation, pool, front desk and bar are very good. Restaurant not good and very disappointing. Turns a lovely ho
