Summary: The staff & owner lived on the boat which we found made it more like visiting friends than a sterile hotel. Speaking directly to the chief insured your eggs were cooked perfectly. Best eggs ever! Very European breakfast buffet with water, coffee & tea available 24 hours and quaint dinning area making it feel like home. Rooms are extremely small, on a boat with basic amenities in the rooms. Not for the handicap having steep steps and size. The location was very safe and one block from the Navel Museum, 15+/- walk to the central rail station and 20 minute walk to the #1 voted French fries in Amsterdam store with 24 dipping sauces. We walked everywhere day and night. Do not know how it works at hotels but we paid extra for the “hotel tax”, was advised at booking, an extra 62 euros at checkout.
