Come and stay in this magnificent pocket castle located in an unusual and quiet place. Nearby, many activities are available to you, such as the Richard de Bas mill in Ambert, the cheese route, the tourist train in Ambert, the Chaise Dieu, the Garden for the Earth in Arlanc, the lake d'Ambert… This detached cottage on 3 levels consists of a ground floor with an independent kitchen, a living room with open fireplace (wood €20/third stere), a living room (with convertible sofa) , a bedroom (with a 140 bed + closed alcove with a 90 bed) with private shower room and WC, a second shower room and a separate WC. On the 1st floor of the castle is 1 bedroom with 1 bed 140. Then on the top floor is 1 bedroom with 1 trundle bed 2 places (2x90). A steep and narrow staircase provides access to these 2 bedrooms located in the tower. The oil-fired central heating will be payable according to your consumption (about 10€/day). You can also enjoy the terrace as well as the large adjoining land of 1600m² with its 360° panorama over the Livradois and the Forez. A games room with table tennis and table football as well as a 12m x 5.50m pétanque and badminton court are at your disposal. Treasure chest. Your host: Our favorite region Our lodging is located in the heart of the Livradois-Forez Regional Natural Park , halfway between the plain of Ambert and the Hautes-Chaumes, around the Col des Supeyres. Between the Loire and the Puy de Dôme, on a clear day you can admire the chain of Puys on one side and Mont Blanc on the other ... On site, visitors can enjoy the river that crosses the town while fishing with trout. A few kilometers from our gîte, there are many jasseries to visit, cousins of the Cantal burons, they housed under one roof the family home, the stable, the hayloft and also served as a cheese factory. The most famous in the area is the "Jasserie du Coq Noir" where you can sit down in front of a plate of cold meats, taste the fourme and drink mulled wine. Ambert (10 min) invites you to a gourmet detour: the famous "fourme d'Ambert" is the pride of the inhabitants and the happiness of all lovers of good cheese. In addition, the city carries an elegant and diverse architectural heritage. Local farmers' markets are organized twice a week in summer.
