Our villa is outstanding for its quiet and secluded location with magnificent views over the surrounding hills and olive groves, and yet close to some of the most beautiful hilltop villages in the Var - still unspoilt by tourism. It is for the exclusive use of our visitors and we only accept one booking at a time. 2 years' ago, we added a large spa, and this winter, we added a sauna and covered veranda, together with shower, toilet and relaxed seating area.
The villa location is ideal in the current climate of Corona Virus restrictions - you can enjoy all the pleasures of Mediterranean France without the bustle of the coast, and there is so much to do in and around our property, that you will rarely need to go out!
The villa itself is a haven of calm both inside and outside, decorated with tasteful provençal style flooring & each bedroom in its own personalised colour scheme, 4 modernised bathrooms with spacious walk-in showers, towel heaters and provençal tiling, plus an additional shower / toilet close to the living room. The spacious living area, under an oak beamed cathedral-style ceiling, comprises a living room with log burning chimney, and large dining room separated by a low wall from the well-equipped kitchen, including a newly installed large oven range. Patio doors lead to a wide south facing terrace, recently relaid with high quality stone, and a rose and bamboo covered pergola where a magnificent oak tree provides shady dining in summer with adjacent barbecue. Another dining area with plancha can be found between the swimming pool and pétanque court.
Three air-conditioned bedrooms (2 doubles, including king-size and queen-size beds - both with ensuite bathrooms, and a 3rd with 3 single beds and a canapé-bed) each with own patio doors leading out to south and east-facing terraces with tables and loungers - and beyond to the large private swimming pool with Jacuzzi, plus a spa comfortably seating 5 adults. Opposite the spa is a covered terrace and sauna, which can be closed in colder weather to fully benefit from the beautiful sauna area whilst relaxing and admiring the view. A restored "cabanon" (small stone-built studio) set apart from the house provides additional sleeping accommodation (double bed) and shower, toilet and wash basin (hot & cold running water). There is also a large, shaded patio area with additional seating - an ideal place to listen to nature or watch the children playing.
In the main house, 2 ensuite bathrooms plus a separate shower room with large shower & WC, completes the accommodation.
Satelite TV with DVD (2 screens in different rooms), VHS and hi-fi, Internet service (wifi and broadband - indoors and on the swimming pool terrace), and a range of indoor games, DVDs and books for children and adults. Outdoors, we have been lovingly caring for the forest and gardens, and have installed on the different terraces pétanque, Volleyball, football and ping-pong. There are several outdoor patio areas, and a large outdoor dining area with electric barbecue. There are 2 hamacs in the trees.
Much of your time will probably be spent around the large, heated swimming pool with a good range of loungers, parasols and pool furniture. We also supply a number of pool games. We have recently added a further pergola to this area to provide additional shade in summer.
Fully equipped kitchen with quality provençal tiling, separate utility room includes large oven range and 5 hobs, microwave oven, dish-washer, washing machine, large "American" fridge / freezer with ice dispenser, an additional drinks fridge and extremely well equipped in crockery, cutlery and cooking utensils (including bread-maker) + high quality plastic plates & glasses for use around the pool. We plan to add an outdoor "summer kitchen" for 2020 season.
