Travel Purpose: leisure
Positive: To be honest, there wasn't much to like. You can't beat being outside in the Yamanshi air and having a view of fields and mountains in the distance, but the place itself wasn't great.
Negative: Better information before booking would have meant we would have been able to avoid visiting. You have to 'rent' towels; the 'bath' was not prepared and was simply covered and left unwashed - we didn't use it. Why should we have to clean the bath after travelling all he way to our stay; not all rooms accept pets (fine - but tell us before we go, because the room that does accept pets is 5000 yen more); no air conditioner in the room... It's a bit Jekyll and Hyde - the shared kitchen is well equipped and then you return to your room which smells of damp tatami and damp linen...
Summary: We had somewhere to sleep but won't be going again.
