Positive: I think I could spend a whole month just on this property's terrace and never go anywhere. It was that nice. The property is quite large, spread across multiple terraces with little nooks, perfect for outside dining, yoga, and relaxing by the sea. The furnishings are a little outdated but everything you need is there, such as a washing machine, dishwasher, and a fully stocked kitchen. Since it's oceanfront on the east coast, mornings are the brightest on the terrace, but it was always enjoyable to lounge around. We could hear motorcycles on the road sometimes but it never kept us awake or bothered us. You need a car to properly stay here, but that applies for all of Puglia really. The location was great as a base for exploring Salento (southern part of Puglia) with easy day trips to Castro, Otranto, and Gallipoli. Great beaches like Cala dell'Acquaviva and Porto Miggiano Beach were very close (which is great because I would not recommend swimming in front of the house). Nothing is really walking distance close but anything you need is within a few minutes' drive. The host was easy to communicate with via WhatsApp and incredibly welcoming. She gave us a bottle of local wine and snacks upon arrival. We hope to return soon!
Negative: The shower was tight, which is normal in Europe, but it was the only annoyance during our stay. It should be noted that the downstairs portion of the house is also rented so privacy and noise may vary. We were lucky but just wanted to point out that you're not necessarily alone on the property.
