Travel Purpose: leisure

Positive: Beautiful, modern and more luxury apartment. A lot of space. Everything we needed was there. Very big and comfortable beds. At night it was quite quiet. Great location close to the city center.

Negative: The central heating was very hot all the time. We asked if it can be regulated, but nobody answered us. The whole situation felt strange. The photos look like they are mixed with photos from another apartment. The worst part was this: We arrived in the evening very tired. The man took cash payment and asked me to show him the reservation number and PIN code, which I did. Later, after a long day, I finally went to sleep and suddenly we received a cancellation of the whole stay. We were afraid that we could lose the accommodation because we had no confirmation of payment. Based on advice on the internet, we did not complain and we stayed the rest of our short stay with stress and worry. There are two possible explanations. Because of the cancellation, the host does not have to pay commission to Booking. Or he can tell the real apartment owner that we cancelled and keep all our cash. I understand that the manager may not want to pay commission to Booking. But if he wants to do this, he should ask us politely to cancel it ourselves. We experienced this before in another accommodation. He should be honest and open. This situation made our stay very uncomfortable.
