Positive: I stayed 7 nights here with my family. Overall, the apartment was okay for the price, but there are both positives and negatives. Pros: • Air conditioning in every room, very useful during hot days • The nearest grocery store is about 15 minutes on foot, and one of them (Familia Superstore) is open 24/7. There are also plenty of other shops around • Good communication with the Wonderful Italy staff • The apartment is spacious and fully equipped, suitable for a family of 4
Negative: Cons: • The water in the bathroom facilities makes a lot of noise • One of the beds was very squeaky • From the pictures, the beds seem to be king size, but in reality it’s a king size frame with two separate mattresses that move and create a gap between them, which makes sleeping uncomfortable • The doors are misaligned and need to be lifted to open, and some of them squeak loudly when you pass by • The area is not very pleasant, with garbage in front of the gate • Wi-Fi didn’t work during our stay; it took a long time for someone to come, and when they finally arrived, it was already our last day • Public transport is rare, and restaurants are mostly in the city center (30–40 minutes on foot) • Rooms were fairly clean, but could have been better • Poor soundproofing; we could hear loud noises from the neighbors upstairs Overall: A decent option if you don’t have high expectations, but if I return to Catania, I would probably choose another location. I also added the missing photo showing the washing machine.
