The City of Folly Beach has scheduled beach renourishment for this spring. The project will start at the West end of the island at the county park progressing towards the pier in blocks. The completion is slated for August. While this is welcomed news given the recent erosion from storms and high tides, we realize the potential for disruption based on the projectโs timing.
We are committed to ensuring your vacation experience remains enjoyable. While most of the beach will remain publicly accessible during the construction, there is a possibility that certain sections of the beach, typically about 500 feet at a time, may be temporarily closed off. The active work area moves every 5 to 7 days on average.
Due to so many external factors, we have no way to predict an accurate timeline for when the project will be at any given location. However, if we anticipate in advance that the project may affect your stay, we will be reaching out to you.
In the small chance the project directly affects your beachfront vacation, we will work closely with you to discuss options.
We have a strict occupancy limit for all of our vacation rentals. Those that violate the terms of occupancy, host events, and or parties will result in immediate eviction, and possibly be arrested for trespassing. The City of Folly Beach has strict rules and regulations regarding such events and possible loss of homeownerโs business license.
