Positive: Royal Legend Suite is SUPERB! Read it all, please! We were met by Vangelis ( Kyriakos's father), who handed us the keys. When we got in, we found a great welcome with a plate of Cretan sweet honey delights, a little like Baklava, several bottles of water in the fridge, not to mention a bottle of Raki and two raki glasses. On my birthday, both Vangelis and his wife knocked on the door, hands full, with a delicious plate of homemade Moussaka! How fantastic is that, eh? It has absolutely everything you will ever need, loads of towels, sheets and everything you would have in your own home such as a dishwasher, washing machine, microwave oven, standard fan oven ,ceramic hob, loads of utensils,air conditioning and much more. The location is in the pretty small village of Tsiskalaria which is up a hill from nearby Souda, with all the amazing and very friendly locals, RLS is immediately opposite the small local Greek Orthodox church which we attended on Sunday. A car is a must although for the first three days we used the local bus service no 22 which leaves Tsikalaria near the elementary school every two hours,its down a hill just 5 minutes walk down the hill but remember you have to come back UP the  hill ! I did it and I'm 83 and disabled and all the locals do it as well,having said all that ! Get a car :) RLS has its own private parking close by.( Photo of bus timetable from Tsikalaria) Chania and Souda and everything that they have to offer is within very easy reach,  I could go on and on and all I can say is we have only been back 4 days and we are already missing it ! My wife and I just talked about going back! To sum up ....... Book it ! Go there !
