Travel Purpose: business
Positive: Brand new decor and appliances, very clean, lots of extras, e.g. coffee machine and pods, UHT milk and water in fridge, salt, pepper, oil, vinegar, washing up liquid, washing machine tabs, drying rack, iron and ironing board, beach mat, pack of cards, first aid kit. There were a couple of beers and soft drinks in the fridge (may have been left by previous guest?) Being able to wash and dry clothes meant we could pack less and save on luggage costs. Free car park space just a few minutes walk away. Host very reactive and keen to please.
Negative: View from terrace not as good as depicted in listing with no privacy. There is a bar next door. It was being renovated when we were there so we were surrounded by a building site. Obviously this is a temporary problem but when finished the terrace will be 2 meters from a bar. We abandoned the terrace after a few days and used the benches by the sea and even took our table and chairs down to the water's edge to eat. Checking in with a hire car was stressful and time consuming due to inaccurate/incomplete instructions but I've given the host feedback so hopefully this will be improved. Roads to/from car park are a bottleneck and very congested.
Summary: Lovely new, very clean apartment but disappointing balcony and inconvenient parking.
