Positive: Grand old building, lovely foyer with sweeping staircase, Christmas lights and tree on display, tartan carpet. Staff were pleasant. Stayed in Junior suite, very large lots of room. Lovely bathroom.
Negative: Bed was not made up very well and bed linen was a little shabby, not what we expected for £154 a night. Bathroom toiletries were sparse, only two tiny little bottles. Lighting in room was terrible. We stayed there in early Nov and didn't have heater on but room was still too warm, we had to open windows overnight. It may be very hot in summer. No lift to upper floors, and whilst it was a lovely staircase it was a hard climb with heavy luggage.
