Positive: Rooms were larger than we'd expected for a cottage property. Immaculate condition. Efficient, quick heating with easy controls. Excellent bathroom. We spent the weekend walking in the Dales and thought the cottage a lovely place to relax after being outdoors.

Negative: I must stress these are only minor quibbles. We're real coffee lovers so disappointed there was no cafetiere which we've found as standard in self catering accommodation in recent years. We didn't like the duvet covers which were synthetic - why not cotton? The overall decor was a bit OTT for us - lots of artificial flowers and 'sentiments' on cushions and framed pictures. Others might like that though.

Summary: An excellent place to stay which we can thoroughly recommend.
