Summary: I’m guessing this property’s best days were 5-10+ years ago. It’s at least 25 years old and does not look like it’s been kept up or refurbished at all. Furniture looks original and is worn, plumbing fixtures are dated and some are difficult to use, several light bulbs are out, carpet is a little scary to look at, downstairs smells like urine, multiple water leaks on main floor from ceiling forced us to put pots out to minimize, not eliminate, water pooling on the floor, plates don’t fit in dishwasher, paint peeling, mildew on floor from aforementioned water leaks, and several doors are difficult to open/close. Other than that? Great location. We’ve stayed as Seaside several times and based on the market the price on this unit needs to be significantly discounted or the owners need to step up and do some remodeling….or at least deep cleaning and fix the roof. We don’t go to Seaside to stay in the house, so the disappointing conditions of this house didn’t ruin our stay, but we would not stay here again until major improvements are made. Which I hope they do as it is a really unique and cool departure from typical Seaside architecture and the location backing up to the courtyard is second to none. Some of the prior reviews do acknowledge that the furniture is worn, but the issues with this property go way beyond that. I suppose if you know what you are getting, and set your expectations accordingly, the location alone may justify a future stay for someone else. Btw, we messaged the property manager when we were all getting wet sitting in the living room and still haven’t received a reply.
