Travel Purpose: leisure

Positive: The views over the surrounding fells were lovely. The situation of the property was very peaceful and restful a great place to access Grasmere two pubs serving lovely food. The garden was well kept and pleasant to sit in.

Negative: We didn’t like the stairs they’re quite a trip hazard especially the ones from the kitchen into the lounge. We couldn’t use the log burner as no wood was left for us. The heating system was sporadic with no instructions on how to use it. All the toilet seats were loose and need fixing. The shower in the main bedroom wasn’t very good there was no flexible hose to it. Not much information on how to use the appliances available. The main fridge needs defrosting and the door to the ice compartment was missing or broken.

Summary: We enjoyed our stay but as mentioned above the overall comfort was hit and miss.
