Summary: This was a terrific place for a beach retreat. I was traveling alone, but this would also be a great place for a couple. It is not beachfront, but it is an easy walk across the street to the beach. The location is terrific. There were things within walking distance or an easy drive. I like Madeira Beach. Reddington Beach to the North is slightly quieter with less commercial but little is in walking distance. Treasure Island and John's Pass to the South has great restaurants with much more traffic. A grocery store is a short drive away. The unit is modestly equipped compared to other places I have stayed. It has the basics and I appreciated the two bottles of water and snacks upon my arrival. If you are planning to stay for longer than a weekend and you are driving, I recommend you bring toilet paper and paper towels (they only start you with one roll of each). If you plan to cook at all you will need salt/pepper, condiments, or other spices. I would also encourage you to think about what you like to have for the beach (e.g., plastic bags/containers, a cooler, an extra beach towel or two -- they provided two). I did have a question during my visit and Nicholas responded very quickly and was quite helpful. I would definitely recommend this place and would stay here again.
