Positive: A delightful little hotel run by a lovely, friendly and interested couple. Tango Hotel is an easy and safe 10 minute walk from the railway station, and about the same to the Lucca city wall. The room and bathroom were generously proportioned and bright. A few minutes walk away is an excellent, recommended eating place where I enjoyed breakfast capuccino and a slice of torta for 2 euros! (March 2026) I believe this place does excellent evening meals too. I asked the couple who run the hotel for a scale to weigh my luggage and they were fabulous about organising that for me. I'll definitely go back on my return to Lucca.
