The Pines on Cecil Bay: our home on the Carp River with Lake Michigan view | House in Carp Lake

3 Bedroom House in Carp Lake
Our paradise away from home is located just off Wilderness Park Drive near the Straits of Mackinaw. Our two-story home has breathtaking views of Cecil Bay in Lake Michigan, freighters passing by the shoreline, and various waterfowl i.e. ducks, swans, and geese floating on the lake or down the river. Don't be surprised if you see Bald Eagles hunting in the Bay, beavers swimming in the river, and minks scurrying about the area.
You can kayak/canoe down the river to Lake Michigan and along the shoreline; fish in the river for Coho Salmon, Small/Large Mouth Bass, or trout; go swimming on the beach across the river or any of the other five public beaches all within four miles, or relax on the deck soaking up the sun. At night imagine the sound of your campfire while watching a magnificent sunset over Lake Michigan. Don't miss out on the night vistas with a sky full of a multitude of stars, make a wish on a shooting star, and if you are lucky you might catch a glimpse of the Northern lights (Aurora Borealis). You can take a five-minute drive to the nearby Headland's International Dark Sky Park to view the observatory and telescopes.
Come and enjoy what Northern Michigan has to offer. Our home is conveniently located between Mackinaw City and Wilderness State Park, an 8000-acre park that has great nature trails, sandy dune beaches, and a boat launch into Lake Michigan perfect for boats and jet skis. We are just 10 minutes from Mackinac Island ferries, many great golf courses, and fine dining all within 10 - 45 minutes located in Mackinaw City, Cheboygan, Harbor Springs, Petoskey, Cross Village, or along the route in the Tunnel of Trees. If you want to explore the UP then travel over the Mighty Mackinac Bridge to visit St. Ignace, travel to the Soo Locks (a little over an hour), Tahquamenon Falls (1.5 hours), Shipwreck Museum in Paradise (2 hours), or any of the other wonders our upper peninsula has to offer.
Our home has a master suite with a queen-size bed, daybed, full bath with shower, Jacuzzi tub, wet bar, and access to the deck. A loft bedroom with a queen-size bed and a private half bath with a third bedroom on the main floor with a full-size bed. The Livingroom has a queen-size hide-a-bed with another full bathroom on the main floor. For security, there are cameras outside on the garage side, side yard, and street side of the home. There are two other cameras to view the night sky and see auroras to be able to let our guests know if they are out. The camera on the deck is removed while we have guests renting it out to allow privacy. Due to allergies, we Do Not ALLOW PETS or SMOKING in the home.
