2 bedroom townhouse with a lovely shared pool in a small complex situated in a quiet Spanish Town surrounded by beautiful countryside within 25 minutes of the Beach

A spacious property over 4 levels, newly decorated and furnished with a contemporary feel comprising large lounge/dining room with independent kitchen. There are two double in bedrooms with vast wardrobe space on the landing. The master bedroom has a 5' King Double Bed, balcony with views over the pool and on towards the surrounding hills and countryside. The second Bedroom as 5' King Double Bed. There is a bathroom on the first floor comprising bath, shower and toilet. There is also a toilet on the ground floor.

The main front entrance has a small outside dinning area with good shade. There is a large roof terrace with all day sunshine. On the ground floor there is a small courtyard with access to the road. You can park right outside the back entrance.
Torremendo is a quiet, traditional Spanish Town where the main occupation is agriculture and the neighbouring countryside boasts orange, lemon, almond and olive groves. There is a beautiful turquoise lake within walking distance which is great to drive, cycle or walk around. It’s very popular with cyclists.
Local shops supply everything you need including a local butcher, baker, general store, bank, heath centre and a church within a communal village square.
There are a few bars, most with Wifi and places to eat in the town, all at Spanish prices. Close by is a Cafe with excellent food. There is a couple of good café bar in the square which are welcoming to Holiday makers. In the summer months there is also a local Pool with open air bar.
The nearest main town is San Miguel which is about 5 miles away where there is a large supermarket and a good choice of restaurants.
This is an excellent base from which to enjoy the beautiful countryside but still be close to the hustle and bustle of the Costas.
Only 25 minutes drive to a variety of beaches, including the sheltered Mar Menor and plenty of golf courses.
Easy access with cheap flights and car rentals via two airports, Alicante 45 minutes and Murcia only 25 minutes away.
To enjoy the area it is best to have a hire car.
Not suitable for anyone who struggles with steps or young children.

Summary: Just back from our 4th(!) visit to this wonderful holiday house , we absolutely love it here ,and are more than happy to recommend it. Situated in the small Spanish village of Torremendo nestled in the national park area , with it's rolling hills and orange groves, close to the Embalse de Pedrera reservior, it's is both idyllic and quiet. The house itself, is part of small complex , it's modern and very well appointed , a perfect place to relax , and there's the pool as well ! Both the cleaner and caretaker are English residents on the complex and do a fantastic job keeping the place immaculate. The village is typically Spanish with restaurants and bars , some shops and a bank . Torremendo is a great base to stay , it's close enough to the lovely beaches of the Costa blanca, but also close to the national parks and the historically interesting city of Murcia . If you're keen cyclist like us , this area has long been a mecca for cycling with it's quiet roads and stunning scenery. I'm already looking forward to my next visit !!
