Positive: The host was very welcoming and got in touch with us before our arrival. The residence was very clean and I appreciate this hugely. We all left our shoes in the hallway so this might have also helped. The overall feeling was cozy and clean. We did not hear other guests (and I hope they also didn't hear us). The mattress was very comfortable and so were the bed sheets. The kitchen had dishes to cook in, a gas stove and a fridge we could all share.
Negative: I did not realise we would not have AC in the room. The house itself was pretty cool but our room did get hot. Now, to be fair, we had the hottest days in summer, over 35 degrees at one point. I don't think this would pose a problem in most cases. Reaching the house by car was a bit difficult as the roads are narrow but we got used to that. However, leaving the house by foot almost got me bitten by a dog. This is just a warning for future travellers, it was a neighbour's dog, not the vila owner's.
