Summary: Location suitable for the purpose of our trip. Breakfast at sister hotel was good. We did not feel our room represented value for money. The people in room number 2 paid a similar amount but had more spacious accommodation. On the second night our key cards did not work (and no, we hadn't kept them near to a phone) We were unable to access our room and the so called 24 hour help number went to voicemail. Essentially there was no help, despite the best efforts of German police who were on duty nearby. We spent the night in the corridor on chairs lent to us by someone in a nearby room. No access to bathroom facilities and no fresh water. Not great at any age, and definitely not when you're in your 70s Very disappointing, to say the least.
