Positive: The apartment is on the top floor of building A, and is a short walk from the parking garage. When you enter the garage, simply drive up to the 6th floor. Luggage carts made it easy to unload. The rooms are nicely insulated as we rarely heard neighbors. The view of the pools and ocean was relaxing. Waterscape is clearly a level up from many of the other family friendly hotels. The resort grounds, pools, grills, and beach are kept extremely clean. The unit is well stocked with small kitchen appliances and utensils. The kitchen is gorgeous, spacious, has newer appliances, and is a great place to cook for your family. I booked this unit over others that had less comfortable living room furniture, as that is important to us. The sofa and loveseat were comfy for games and relaxing. I hate when units have a small sofa and an uncomfortable side chair. I want a comfy spot for each family member so no one has to sit in the dining room. All the bed linens were fresh and clean. There were NO bugs of any kind in the apartment. We were there in March, so we knew that it might be too cold to swim, and we thoroughly enjoyed the resort regardless. The building staff was very friendly and helpful. The until was very clean, with some suggestions stated below. We would definitely stay in this unit again! The furnishings are modern and a bit upscale compared to some of the more dated looking units.
Negative: It's important to start by saying that we have stayed in many Airbnbs and rental apartments/homes during our travels, and this one ranks at the top of our list in terms of amenities, cleanliness, furnishings, safety and location! We loved it and would come back to this exact rental again! The following lists a few things that are meant to be helpful to the next renter when packing, and to the owners for simple maintenance for easy improvements. The bunk beds in this unit are not a full 75", but longer than toddler beds. They might be similar in length to a camper bunkhouse twin. Our (5'6") 14 year old son didn't mind, and enjoyed the coziness of the bunkhouse anyway. It isn't a full second bedroom, as seen in some other units, yet it isn't like some Waterscape units that have bunks out in the open in the dining room. I would call it a private nook. It has a curtain that can be pulled for privacy and is conveniently next to the guest full bathroom. The unit did not have a blow dryer, but we messaged and borrowed one from the front desk. There is only one plastic cup in the kitchen. As you can only take plastic to the pool area, bring extra with you. You receive two beach chairs and an umbrella via beach service. If you want an extra, it is $15 per day. Take a beach mat for your towel, or take extra beach chairs if you have more than two people. It was chilly on some days, so this didn't matter to us. In the summer, you might need to get to the beach early if you want close to the ocean, but none of the chairs are far from it. You can buy beach chairs in area stores. If I came back, I would take one that has a fold flat option. This type of unit doesn't provide salt, pepper, spices, so remember to take them with you. We knew and took paper plates, napkins, garlic salt, extra trash bags, dish scrubber, S&P, butter, milk, bread, cereal, etc...
