The Brahan Estate is famous around the world for the โBrahan Seerโ, an estate worker in the 17th-century called Kenneth Mackenzie or โKenneth the Sallowโ, whose prophecies came true, namely the Battle of Culloden. The estate was also home to the Seaforths, Chiefs of the Clan Mackenzie. Brahan Estate is the site of many a romantic episode relating to the Jacobite Risings.
