Summary: I’m not typically someone who leaves negative reviews, but I do believe in providing honest feedback—especially when a property has so much potential, as this one does. First, the positives: the location truly can’t be beat. It’s just a very short walk to the beach, which we loved. The convenience of texting with the rental company was also appreciated—it made communication easy and accessible throughout our stay. That said, there were several maintenance issues that impacted our experience. Upon arrival, we noticed the front door was broken and submitted a maintenance ticket right away, but unfortunately, it was never addressed. Because of that, we delayed reporting other issues, but want to share them now to avoid any misunderstanding: The water never got hot throughout the stay. The master bathroom sink did not drain properly. The shower door in the master and the sliding door to the covered deck were extremely difficult to operate. The handle on the cabinet in the master bedroom below the TV was broken. Trim throughout the house was damaged upon arrival (we took photos). The lights in the master bedroom didn’t work. No apologies were offered for these issues, although the company did thank us for letting them know when we texted them later in the stay. We want to be clear that all of these issues were present when we arrived and hope the property management team ensures they are not mistakenly attributed to us. This house really does have a lot of potential—it’s in a great location and has a nice layout. With a bit more attention to maintenance and customer care, it could be a fantastic vacation rental.
