Positive: Stalheim Hotel offers an absolutely stunning and dramatic location—truly one of the most beautiful settings we’ve experienced. The staff were warm and welcoming, and the property features incredible hikes with unforgettable views. It’s a unique and memorable place to stay, with scenery that really sets it apart.

Negative: Because the hotel is very remote, you really need a car to get there. The rooms feel like they haven’t been updated since the hotel first opened, which may not appeal to everyone. The restaurant food wasn’t particularly tasty, yet the isolated surroundings mean you’ll likely end up eating there. Even the “beginner” hikes seemed inaccurately categorized and were more challenging than expected.
