Positive: We enjoyed a wonderful 4 days at Villa Karouna. The booking process was easy, the owner was helpful and responsive. The wonderful Tika, house keeper was on site to welcome us with a delicious cool drink and show us around. This was so very welcome after the crazy drive from the airport to Ubud. Everything about the villa and it's gardens are exquisite. The decor is authentically Balinese and so tastefully decorated. We loved relaxing on the sofas and making use of the well equipped kitchen. The infinity pool over looking the meadow and rice fields was a good size, clean and refreshing. Watching the swallows swoop over the pool to take a drink and the fire flies light up the dusk sky is a memory we'll treasure. There are three bedrooms, though we only used one. The bed was big, super comfy and the huge outdoor bathroom and shower was spotlessly clean with plentiful hot water. We especially enjoyed Tika's wonderful breakfasts and the delicious balinese meal she cooked for us after a day's sight seeing was another wonderful experience. We also enjoyed a very relaxing balinese massage at the villa. I can't recommend this wonderful villa enough and the great value for money it represents. We wouldn't hesitate to rebook. This retreat is a little piece of heavenly Bali.
